Despite the directive of the superintendent of police to put a break on illegal coal trading in Bermo coal field ,the practice is going on unabated in Nawadih area of the district.
Sources say in Kanjkiro, Guniato, Pank , Nayabasti area too, some influential people with connivance of the police are carrying on illegal trade . Bokaro thermal police headed by officer-in charge RajKumar Yadav conducted raids in Boria village to curb illegal smuggling of coal .Police seized 20 tonnes of coal and arrested two persons in this connection, in Bokaro Thermal on Wednesday.
They also seized a coal-loaded truck (JH05 AK -0522) from the spot. The arrested persons Vikky Yadav and Mahadeo Kumar Rajwar were forwarded to Tenughat jail. The operation was conducted following the directives of Bokaro SP Kuldeep Dwivedi.
