Host of leaders and workers belonging to Lok Janshakti Patry, Janta Dal-U and Rastriya Janata Dal joined the ruling BJP on Monday in the presence of the party’s Jharkhand president Laxman Gilua. The names included former chief of the LJP in Jharkhand Baban Gupta.

Former State president of the JD-U youth wing Amit Kumar and educationist Harish Ghanani also made their entries into the BJP. Welcoming the leaders into the party Laxman Gilua termed the occasion happy for the BJP.

“It is indeed pleasing to see so many people joining the BJP by getting influenced by its ideologies and principles. The party would be strengthened ever further by this. BJP is the largest party of not only the country but of the world. All the workers join to the BJP in order to serve the nation and their society,” said the BJP chief.

He on the occasion also rapped Congress and parties in the Opposition for indulging into corruption and hailed the four years of rule of the Raghubar Das Government in Jharkhand for its pro-poor, pro-tribal steps. Vice president of the party Aditya Sahu and Pradeep Verma, general secretary Deepak Prakash and other senior leaders were present on the occasion.

Addressing the new entrants, Deepak Prakash termed the BJP as pure as Ganga. “Polices and principles of party have been to serve the Bharat Mata and not to enjoy power. Local parties of Jharkhand like JMM, JVM have just been involved in selling the State whereas the Congress facilitated loot of minerals. On the other hand the Modi Government is taking forward the country towards reinstating its Vishva Guru status,” he said.
