A barati from Bihar’s Aurangabad coming over to Amhourra village under Palamu’s Mohammadganj block was electrocuted last night when a live electric wire fell on the bus in which this ill fated barati was sitting atop said Beyas Ram officer in charge of Hussainabad police station. The police officer said the driver hit a road side electric pole which led to this casualty of one and injury to seven other baratis. The police officer said had the bus driver taken a wide road there this tragedy would not have occurred at all. The driver in order to reach the wedding venue faster took the narrow road leading to this hitting of the electric pole and subsequent fall of a live electricity wire which engulfed the barati to death while seven others sustain burn injuries. Police have registered the case. The bus is seized.
