Ahead of Civic poll in Chas district police seized huge quantity of beer, illegally carried in two vans, handed over to the Excise Department on Monday. The beer bottles were carried to distribute among the voters of Chas, said an authority. All total 9 FIR has been lodged for violating of model code of conduct; includes the name of 18 people, said Manoj Kumar Deputy Commissioner Bokaro.

Out of 112 polling booths, 75 have been placed in the sensitive categories, covered with adequate security arrangements, said SP Bokaro.
