lions Club of Bokaro Thermal celebrated Teachers’ Day here on Friday evening at Station Club, Bokaro Thermal, in which honoured two senior teachers of Carmel High and Carmel School (English medium )for their dedication in the field of education .
The Club was gripped with fervour as teachers; guest and lions member put their best foot forward to pay tributes to the great visionary Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of India.
“The celebration is to bring oneness among teachers and encourage them well for the betterment of society. A teacher is one who shapes the destiny of the student.-said chief guest ln G.Jha.
He lauded the contribution of teachers in the over-all development of country. Highlighting on the achievements of Sarvepalli Radhakrishanan he said that he was true role model and India’s most influential scholars.
He also said that the day was very special for all the teachers and students who will be honored for their achievements. While the vice president of the club ln S.B. Singh said that the Teacher’s Day the best occasion to extend our sincere gratitude to all the teachers, for not only teaching our students but being their true mentors and role models
On the occasion, teachers RP Das Gupta and Sikha Jha of Carmel High School and Carmel School, Bokaro Thermal were honored by the chief guest and guest of honour, G Jha and Dr H Kumar.
While other teachers includes AK Mishra and vice principal of Carmel High school, Sir Amla AC who also spoke on the importance of the day . Earlier the function started with the Gayatri Mantra while the programme was inaugurated by the chief guest, guest of honor, and chairperson, by the traditional lighting of a lamp . ln N.P Sinha proposed the vote of thanks.
