In keeping with the Centennial Service Challenge to help relieve hunger, lions club of Bokaro Thermal organised camps for the poor and needy villagers at Kadrukhuta village in Nawadih block of Bokaro district here on Sunday. The cloths were for men, women and children. Besides food items and soaps were also distributed among the 250 villagers of Kadrukhuta village, said UK Nair, club president.
Nair, MJF Y.Giri, club secretary B.laxmina and others members who were present on the occasion lauded the humanitarian efforts of the club and said that such initiatives at the grassroots level go a long way in helping the people who need support from the society. Nair also emphasised the need to reach out to the poor and needy sections of the society and informed that in future the club would be undertaking so many projects for the underprivileged.
