Three women sustained severe burn injuries while dozens of children got minor injuries when they were struck by lightning at Bangharia village under Badajora panchayat of Chandankiyari Block in Bokaro district.
According to the hospital authorities, the conditions of the injured women is stable. Puspa Devi (26), Guddu Kumari (24 and Khushboo (22) sustained severe burn injuries after lightning struck on them while many children who were playing there sustained minor injuries, said Ashok Mahato a villager.
With the help of the local, the injured were immediately rushed to the Chandankiyari CHC where doctors referred them to Bokaro Sadar Hospital for better treatment after first aid.
later, BDO Pramod Ram rushed to the village and assured for government compensation to the injured.
