Three members of the same family were burnt alive due to superstitions and rumours at Thekatoli village under Kairo police station in Lohardaga on April 17, 2016. A local court has convicted 22 people in this case and sentenced them to life imprisonment on Thursday.
Govardhan Oraon was accused by the villagers to be practsing witchcarft.
Oraon, along with Madho Bhagtain and Sukhmaniya Bhagtain, was killed in the incident. The three accused were locked in a house which was set to fire.
