LFS student wins accolades at Emerging Entrepreneur Contest

Shivangi Thakur of Class 9 student of Little Flower School won the second runner-up trophy in the National Emerging Entrepreneur Contest organised by XLRI.

The competition was for students of classes 9 to 12, and Shivangi was the youngest contestant.  After a successful aptitude test and interview round, Shivangi was among the top ten contenders.  She was assigned a mentor for a week, and came up with six ideas of which one idea was selected for the final round.  Her presentation ‘All-NET app - Stay Connected Anytime Anywhere’ to the XLRI panel clinched her victory.   What she has achieved today will decide all her tomorrows.

“ In today’s competitive environment, many students find themselves lost in the shuffle.  But achievers are self-starters, motivated and an asset to their school. Shivangi is one such student,” said an official of the school.

In fact, this is not the first time that Shivangi has brought honour to her alma mater.  In December 2020, Shivangi represented the country at the international level of ‘Voice of the eye’, a global speech competition organized by Project Vision.  It was extremely generous of Shivangi to contribute 95% of her prize money of Rs.15,000/- to the school.  This speaks highly of her upbringing and the innate moral values she has inculcated from her parents, which will stand her in good stead in life.
