Let us connect with their soul

Namaste...health for all of us!

We, as humans have that innate propensity allowing our peculiarities squeeze out of ourselves when pressed in a water tight compartment. It is our coping mechanism first and later, a forte.

So this lockdown is a 'semicolon' in a 'polysyndeton'! ...I couldn't think of a better metaphor!

This read is far from how the pandemic has brought the economic arena to a turmoil, so chill !

We actually needed this. Driving high on a long haul , a sudden speed breaker!

While you were doing the dishes and thinking of the laundry, you were also feeling gratitude of having to do the dishes; which assures you of the grains in the house. While playing it up...cooking , mopping , sweeping etc... and recording, the jocular memes and other tuck on the social media... we know we are happy souls.

Souls!

There are species of 'souls' who, if were given even more flourishing senses, in the court of Mother Nature , would undisputingly win their claim on Earth .

There is this clan of yellow butterflies swarming my garden all day long. My husband, owing to the job he is in , has to move out in the city , tells me about these lemon coloured winged caterpillars being the new inhabitants of the town.

Adjacent to my house , stands a traffic light.

So, honk and beeps, wheel roar-rush , hooters hooting are the perennial deafening melodies we are ears to without a choice.

I repeat...'we are ears to...'

....were these noises defeaning 'only ' us !?!

I answer myself in a 'no'.

And these raptors and fledlings are so naive. Sans rancour , they returned.

Parrot, koel , pigeon and sparrow , yellow beaked joy , owl and crow.

Since when did they not belong here! And where were they all this while?

That they are here now, let us connect with their soul.

They don't seek food from us nor do they tax upon our lives. Only some calm.

This Earth is theirs as much.

So, dear yellow butterflies and chirpy birdies, joy abundant for all of us !
