Under the guidance of NALSA and JHALSA, and following the instructions of Nalin Kumar, Principal District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, Garhwa, a Jail Court, Legal Awareness Camp, and Health Check-up Camp were organised on Sunday.

During the event, Nibha Ranjana Lakra, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Garhwa, informed the inmates about their legal entitlements. The inmates were also advised that if they cannot afford legal representation in their case, or if their case has been concluded in the District Court and they wish to submit an appeal or bail application to the High Court, they can apply to the District Legal Services Authority, Garhwa. This would guarantee them free legal counsel, and the District Legal Services Authority, Garhwa, would endeavour to ensure a swift resolution. Furthermore, around 240 male and female prisoners received health screenings for diabetes, blood pressure, vision, and other health concerns at the health check-up camp, and medications were dispensed as required.

During the camp, Nibha Ranjana Lakra, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Garhwa, also assessed the standard of the prisoners' meals and inspected the hygiene of the male and female prisoner accommodations. Sanjay Kumar, the Jail Superintendent cum Sub-Divisional Officer of Garhwa, along with Pravind Sahu, Chief of L.A.D.C.S., Deputy Chief Anita Ranjan, Assistants Sudhir Tiwari and Uttam Bharti, a medical team from Sadar Hospital Garhwa, and court staff Pramod Kumar Dubey and Rajesh Kumar, were all present at the Jail Court.
