Gone are the days when people used to just decorate their houses just with earthen lamps and Chinese decorative lights. A range of different designer and fancy electric lights are available in shops this year to attract customers. Though it has affected the traditional market of earthen lights but fancy lED lights sellers are doing brisk business in the city. Today, fancy lED lights are being sold like hot cakes across the city.
To lure a large number of customers, shopkeepers are displaying fancy lights of different varieties and ranges including hanging crystal lamps, decorative drop lights, ceiling net light, glass pendant light, various shapes of T-lights candle holder, rose-shaped hanging lights and many more are available for the denizens. These latest electric lED lights have changed the market trend and people are getting attracted more to such items than traditional lights.
“looking at the demand of the lED lights, we have brought varieties of designer lights for the customers. Since the lED lights are available at nominal price, people prefer buying these lights available in all ranges. Some latest varieties of lights like lED full colour rotation lamp, musical laser stage lighting, electric diyas and hand made hanging lights are also being sold in the market,” said Govind Bhalla, owner of Bhawani Gift Gallery at Upper Bazar.
These fancy lED electric lights are not just stylish in look but also very much convenient and safer to use. lED lights ranging from rupees 70 to rupees 600 are available in the local markets across the city. Moreover, Denizens buy these lights as they are convenient in handling.
“I live at a rented house and there is a very little space to décor my premises with traditional items and mostly I prefer something which does not involve lengthy process. Artificial lights gives aesthetic look to the surrounding and can be used again for different purposes,” said Geeta Das, a homemaker.
Another resident, Ashutosh Anand added, “I prefer to buy lights instead of earthen diyas as the fancy lights come in a variety of designs and colours. It is easier to decorate particular area with colourful lights. Moreover I stay in hostel and it is difficult for me to make all essential arrangements to illumine the earthen lights.”
