Law and order situation collapsed in State: BJP

Published on:

BJP state spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo today said that the law and order situation of the State has completely collapsed. He said that while the main accused in BJP, Latehar district general secretary late Jayawardhan Singh murder case, escaped from police custody, on the other side a video appears in which the in-charge of Barhet police station in Sahibganj district was abusing a young woman and beating her brutally.

Shahdeo said that while explaining the Jayawardhan Singh murder case, Latehar police had said that the militant organization JJMP was behind it, but JJMP had denied involvement in the incident. “The entire case points to a major conspiracy. The BJP demands that the murder and absconding should be investigated by a Central agency. Strict action should be taken against all the policemen involved in protecting the accused,” he said.

“On the other hand, a video showing the barbaric face of Harish Pathak, in-charge of Barhet police station of Sahibganj district, appears. He is grabbing and beating a young girl's hair inside the police station and giving lewd abuses. The BJP demands that the in-charge of the police station be sacked and a criminal case be tried against them. Also, legal action should be taken against all the policemen present as mute spectators on the spot. This entire incident describes the position of women in this government in the State,” he added.
