Balumath police in latehar district has not only busted a gang of three ultras of a splinter group of naxal outfit nicknamed as Sangharash Jan Mukti Morcha (SJMM) but also recovered weapons with them. Stating this SP latehar Anoop Birtharey said the three arrested have been identified as Babloo Yadav alias Prabhat Ji , Mithilesh Rana and Mahender Oraon hailing from Balumath.
The SP added these three were operative in Barkagaon, Keradiri and Balumath and were out to establish a reign of terror but the gang of three stands busted now. Keradiri is the hub of developmental activities due to NTPC project and also of the railways and several mines. The SJMM ultras were exerting all coercive measures for extortion, levy from the concerns.
The police have recovered 6 weapons including country made rifles and pistols. Eight cell phones have also been recovered which were looted from a railway contractor added Birtharey. They have been remanded into judicial custody.
