Ranchi Police arrested one Panchanand Kumar Sahu from Pundag on charges of murdering Manoj Munda due to a dispute over a piece of land. On interrogation, he confessed to his crimes. Based on his confession, police has seized two 9mm pistols, one live cartridge of 9mm bore and an empty cartridge, which were used for murdering Manoj.
Panchanand and Manoj, both working as land dealers, had their differences over a piece of land. One night, Panchanand called Manoj for a meeting, during which he murdered him on Ring Road near Nagri on July 08 with his accomplice Kishan Bauri.“We are presently looking into the criminal record of the arrested land dealer. He is being grilled for more detail in this case,” said Superintendent of Police (Rural) Raj Kumar lakra during a press conference on Sunday.
