Former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD Chief lalu Prasad Yadav will move Jharkhand High Court seeking transfer of one of his fodder scam cases to any other Court from the Court of Special CBI Judge Shiv Pal Singh alleging wrong conduct on its part while examining the defense witness Sunil Kumar, the then Senior SP of Patna. The former Bihar CM today appeared before the CBI court in a fodder scam case here on Friday.
lalu’s Counsel Prabhat Kumar said that the Court was examining Sunil Kumar, presently posted as DG - cum- MD- Bihar Police Building Construction Corporation, in RC64A/96 and it allegedly got annoyed all of a sudden on Friday.
“We have filed a petition in the Court of SP Singh that we will be moving to High Court seeking transfer of the case to some other Court as its conduct while examining one of our witnesses today was not acceptable to us. A senior IPS Officer of DG rank should not be treated like this in the Court,” said the counsel. All of a sudden the statement recorded was ripped, after it got annoyed on finding the IPS officer to be of SC category but had cleared the Civil Services Examination in general category, he added.
Kumar further said that Court, after tearing the statement recorded by the IPS officer, said that he will not be examined by the court anymore on Friday as he had been summoned on August 10. Earlier, the Court had agreed to examine him as he was present in Ranchi to record his statement in another case on Thursday, added the advocate.
Remarkably, defense witnesses are being examined in two of the fodder scam cases - RC64A/96 and RC68A/96 while prosecution witnesses are being examined in RC47A/96 on day to day basis.
