According to Indian Academy of Pediatrics Ranchi Branch, pediatricians of Jharkhand lack knowledge on treating seriously ill children. To update with this knowledge, a national workshop on ‘National Critical Care Unit 2013’ will be held at the state capital from October 26-27.
Speaking about the relevance of this workshop, organising secretary of this workshop Dr PK Gupta during a media interaction on Thursday said, “There are few medical institutions across the State providing latest treatment facilities for seriously ill children. In such scenario, it is important to update the knowledge of local child specialists.”
“Renowned doctors from Mumbai, New Delhi and Mangalore attending this workshop will brief our doctors on how to treat such children with latest knowledge and medical facilities,” Dr Gupta added. The programme will be hosted in collaboration with Central Coalfields limited (CCl).
