Kolhan University organised a seniority committee meeting at Chaibasa to release the list of senior professors. Discussions were made about the list of Jamshedpur Women's College, Jamshedpur Co-operative College and Singhbhum College, Chandil.
The meeting, however, entered in to a row over Sumita Mukherjee who was appointed as the professor-in-charge of the Jamshedpur Women's College (when the then principal Shukla Mahanty was appointed pro vice-chancellor), two senior faculty members have written to the university asking about their seniority position in the college.
However, due to lack of all the documents of the teaching staff, the status of the seniority list of the Jamshedpur Women's College is still pending.
The top five names in the seniority list of Jamshedpur Co-operative College are S.S. Razi, M.R. Sinha and K.K. Sharma from zoology department and D.K. Mishra and A.K. Sinha from the department of English and history respectively.
