The countdown of voting for the first phase of election in Jharkhand has begun. On Tuesday, polling officers of 250 booths of Koderma parliamentary constituency, which comes under Hazaribagh district administration area, received the essential materials and departed for their cluster centers.
In the evening, DC cum RO, Sunil Kumar, informed that all the polling teams have reached to their cluster centers from where they will proceed to their booths either today or in the early morning of the voting day i.e. 10th of April.
One doctor and two ANMs have been deputed at every cluster centers where ambulance, first aid kits and some necessary medicines have also been provided. 19,8240 voters of Barkattha assembly constituency and 9,204 voters of Bagodar assembly constituency will vote in 250 (239+11) booths of Hazaribagh district.
Election duty certificates have been provided to all those employees who had filled form for it, he added. DC said that out of 250 booths of Koderma, which is in Hazaribagh district, we have developed 15 as model booths where the voters will get sitting facility, drinking water, toilet etc. and NSS volunteers will welcome them in the booth.
Direct telecast of voting by webcasting from 16 booths and videography/digital photography of voting of 41 booths has been arranged. SP Manoj Kaushik informed that out of 250 booths, 108 have been identified as supersensitive and about 100 as sensitive.
Central paramilitary forces have been deployed in both supersensitive and sensitive booths. We have scanned all the booths earlier and not a single booth will be unmanned this time, he added. Patrolling teams will monitor everything and besides this, if needed, arrangements of air surveillance will also be in readiness. Talking about the preparation of Ramnavmi, both DC and SP said that this time we have clearly said to the office bearers of all akharas to end the procession by 10 am, on 10th April, keeping in view the election.
For peaceful conclusion of Ramnavmi, arrangements have been made, CCTV cameras, special male and female forces have been installed to keep eyes on anti-social elements.
