Family members of former Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leaders Sunil Mahto and Nirmal Mahto along with their followers will sit on an indefinite hunger strike from November 14 demanding NIA probe into their murders.
Talking to the media persons here on Friday Anil Mahto, an AJSU leader who also belongs to the family of Sunil Mahto, said that they had lost faith in State Police as it has done nothing since the two leaders were killed 10 and 30 years back respectively.
"As the State has failed to nab the people behind these high profile political murders, we demand NIA probe in the two cases for which we are going to meet Governor Droupadi Murmu. If our demands are not fulfilled, we will be forced to sit on indefinite hunger strike at Raj Bhawan," said Anil Kumar Mahto.Sunil Mahto's mother Khando Mahto and his cousin brother Shushen Mahto will also be sitting on hunger strike. The AJSU leader also demanded martyr's status for Nirmal Mahto.
