In a shocking incident, the corpse of a young woman was left by her family members at the Rourkela Government Hospital here recently. The railway police seized the body and registered an unnatural death case.
The body has been kept in the morgue. The railway police are now trying to locate her family members, who are yet come forward to claim the body. Payal Sharma, daughter of Sushil Sharma, a resident near the Rourkela railway station, was suffering from asthma. On Sunday, she had been admitted in the hospital by her family, but she later died. Then, her family members left the hospital. There was no detailed address of the family in the register. “We are investigating the case and searching for her family members,” said GRP DSP AK Chakroborty.
