Paras’ father Om Prakash Chowdhury, who runs a brick kiln, was not at home. This resulted in four hours of delay in lodging an FIR.

Paras was left alone at 10.30 pm on Wednesday under a peepul tree not even two hundred metres from his house and his cries drew his parents to him.
