If everything goes as fast as expected by Jharkhand State Khadi Gramodyog Board’s newly-appointed chairman Sanjay Seth, Khadi linen and other FMCG products will soon get a ‘five star’ reception in hotels of Jharkhand. Seth said on Friday that hotels have agreed to use all khadi linen and other products as soon as possible.
Rameshwaram Projects Private limited (RPPl) Chairman & MD and hotelier Chandrakant Raipat will kick-off this ambitious project of Khadi on 18th July when 10 rooms of one of his hotels in Ranchi, Hotel Green Horizon will be equipped and decorated with all khadi linen and products.
Seth said in a programme organised at FJCCI in presence of its president Pawan Sharma and other officials that other institutional customers are also being encouraged to use as much khadi products as possible. “Two of the big schools in Ranchi have already agreed to use khadi linen at their premises. They have also agreed at promoting khadi by allowing school dresses exclusively made of khadi in phased manner. Medica Hospital has also promised to change the linen line of entire hospital including dresses of doctors and nurses,” said Seth. He said that the organization he has chaired in past (FJCCI) will play an important role in promoting khadi across State.
