A procession on Sarhul was marked by Kendriya Sarna Samiti that started from Akhra Kumba of MG Road. I the programme chiefly Central Rural State minister Sudarshan Bhagat, MlA Kamal Kishor Bhagat and Congress State head Sukhdeo Bhagat were present. The procession started from Akhra Kumba made its way passing from main road, Mahaveer Chowk, Upper Bazar, Powerganj Chowk, and Maina Bagicha. Finally it reached to Nadia. In the procession Sudarshan Bhagat, KK Bhagat and Sukhdeo Bhagat danced a lot with the tunes of Mandar. In the procession many cultural group, Khorhas and Pahans included. An appreciable number of women and children were also seen. Kendriya Mahaveer Mandal and a dozen of Social organizations served them grams, water and sweet drink.
On the occasion the rituals were performed by the Pahans. The Central Rural State minster Sudarshan Bhagat said, “The festival of nature Sarhul is the symbol of mutual affection and harmony. We expect for well being of all the creatures and yield of good crop this year.” On the eve BJP district head Rakesh Prasad, ex-MlA Ramesh Oraon, Maneer Oraon, Sukhdeo Oraon, Vinod Bhagat, Anil Bhagat, Prakash Oraon, Gautam Oraon, Somnath, Suraj Agarwal, Chandrasekhar Agarwal, Seeta Ram Sharma, Rajendra Khatri and many others were present.
