Senior Security Advisor to Union Home Ministry K Vijay Kumar along with DGP Rajiv Kumar reached Daltonganj and held a review meeting here on anti-Naxal operations and developmental schemes. Kumar was accompanied by IG Operations M l Meena and IG CRPF RK Mishra.
The meeting in Daltonganj was held with Palamu IG A Natarajan, SP YS Ramesh, Palamu DC KN Jha, Commandant of 134 battalion CRPF Anil Minz and DFO North Mahalinga. The participation of DFO North is being viewed here as most significant. Forest in Palamu harbours hard core Maoists and other activists of the splinter groups like TPC, JJMP, JPC, PlFI etc.
DC Palamu during the meeting claimed that no scheme in Palamu is ever on hold for want of NOC from the forest department. Police-public co ordination was also stressed during the meeting. The high powered team wanted to know the status of anti naxal operations in Palamu where lok Sabha election concluded peacefully passed off peacefully. The meeting lasted for 90 minutes at the CRPF camp.
