Senior Jharkhand Vikas Morcha leader and former CM of Jharkhand, Babulal Marandi on Friday said that the party would observe ‘Black Day’ in the State if any Government was formed. He said that the party workers would sport black badges during the swearing in ceremony.

To a query Marandi said the attempt to form a Government by Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and Congress was based on manipulations and money power and such a Government could not serve the people of the State. “We will would oppose if such a Government was formed. On several occasion we have requested the Governor to dissolve the Assembly to pave way for fresh elections as no party or coalition has got majority in it,” he said.

Talking to the news on the sidelines of the party’s public meeting organised at Adityapur, the senior leader said that claimed that no alternative Government was possible in Jharkhand without ‘unethical lobbying’.

He noted that said that the Governor should not give more time to any party for the formation of Government and immediately dissolve the Assembly to pave way for fresh elections.

Marandi said, “Rather than any party forming the Government we would like that the people of the State should get the chance to decide the fate of the future Government. We have witnessed instability since 2003 and rather now it is high time that a fresh mandate should be given a chance”.

The former CM also rejected the speculations regarding his possible comeback in the BJP following Narendra Modi’s anointment as campaign committee chief. He noted that he can’t think of rejoining the party that he left around seven years ago and those who were doing the ‘guesswork’ were actually ‘day dreaming’.

Marandi, who left the saffron party by quitting national vice president post, loksabha seat and the primary membership of the party together following his differences with the then Chief Minister Arjun Munda, said, ‘ I can’t even imagine such a thing. Those speculating it were actually day dreaming”.

He said that the party is eyeing to contest on all the 81 seats of the State. “Though we had alliance with the Congress in last Assembly polls but now we have decided to contest on all the seats of the State in next polls,” he claimed.
