Following the decision to challenge the Speaker’s decision to allow induction of its six MlAs into the BJP in Jharkhand High Court, the JVM is gearing up to take the fight to the people. The party has chalked out a plan for protests, agitations and public meetings in as many as six affected Assembly constituencies in the first phase.
“Jharkhand has recently seen some unethical political occurrences in which the BJP using money and posts has lured our six MlAs. The MlAs have also ditched the faith the electorates have shown to them. People are hurt with their step and expect the JVM to lead the agitation,” said a communiqué of the party on Saturday.
The protest is mostly targeted to expose the deeds of the six legislators and have been organised in their constituencies. The protest would be for three days and include door-to-door consultations, meetings with party workers and Press conferences. Starting from February 19, the protest would go till 21 in five Assembly constituencies — Hatia, Daltonganj, Chandank-iyari, Barkattha and Simaria. Protests in Sarath constituency on February 21, 22 and 23.
The rattled party is looking to utilise the opportunity to inform the voters about what it thinks a betrayal done to the mandate. It has, on the occasion, also named the party coordinators who would be holding the exercise in the constituencies.
