Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM) has launched an all-round attack today on government through its Black Paper. The paper, released on Monday after completion of two years of Chief Minister Raghubar Das led government last month, is full of condemnations of the steps the government has taken on the name of good governance. The paper claimed that the law and order situation in the State was at all time low and government had failed miserably to serve expectations of common people. However, the BJP called the party’s claims as bluff and baseless.
leading the attack on government from the front, former Chief Minister and JVM chief Babulal Marandi said after releasing the Black Paper that the State never saw law and order situation at such a low ever before CM Raghubar Das led government reined in two year ago. He said that the people didn’t feel insecure only elsewhere, but also within the premise of the Court in last two years. He also said that the vacant seat of Vigilance Commissioner itself told the story of how Government wanted to get rid of corruption.
“3,770 murders, 3,037 kidnappings and 2,286 incidents of rape in last two years is what not we are accusing, but what government itself has disclosed on its websites and reports. The first and foremost expectation of citizens from any government remains to be a better law and order situation in which government has miserably failed,” claimed Marandi.
He claimed that cases of false naxal surrender were once again on all time high with eight out of nine naxals shown surrendering on October 17 last year didn’t have even a single case registered in any of the police stations. “Tendering has become new business where a company is denied one tender, and is awarded the other next time. No one knows how many more years will Ring Road take to be completed,” said Marandi.
Going one step further, he said that dova construction was another big fraud where any dova which could easily be constructed in not more than `12,000 was allotted up to `40,000. “But the biggest false of the Government remains claims of investment and development, where government is not able to use its already constructed buildings and ITI Institutes. There are no teachers in those institutes, and government is busy in singing songs of Skill Development,” claimed Marandi.
However, BJP also launched counter attack immediately after launch of the Black Paper, saying that the claims made in the paper were completely baseless. “Raghubar Das visited only two foreign countries – Singapore and the USA – that also to attract investment. But Babulal Marandi visited five countries during his tenure. The news magazine, which (Babulal) Marandi finds so true claiming deteriorating law and order situation, has also found Jharkhand doing wonderful in health services. Now he needs to decide whether he believes on the magazine or not,” asked BJP Spokesperson Pratul Shahdev.
He also commented on Marandi over claims on tendering processes that Marandi was the expert of tendering. He said that the nature of questions raised by JVM General Secretary and MlA Pradeep Yadav in Assembly was itself a testimony of ‘interests’ of the party.
