Disgruntled JVM has pitched strongly for calling six MlAs who have been charged with defecting to the BJP soon after the last Assembly polls.JVM counsel RN Sahay referred to a petition he had filed in this regard with the Tribunal, hearing the case for last over two years. The petition given under Civil Procedure Code before Speaker Dinesh Oraon said that as per provisions persons in question should be called ahead of others as witnesses before the court.
“They are just delaying the case by presenting one or two witnesses and that also of insignificant nature. Even today only two witnesses from Naveen Jaiswal were brought before the court. I appealed to the court that the MlAs in question should be called ahead of others for their cross examination and testimonies,” said the advocate.
listening to the petition, the Speaker has assured to look into the matter on the next date of heating posted for August 4. “He agreed that the persons in the middle of whole affair should be called at the earliest and the step was urgent for early disposal of the matter. He assured take a call on the next date and ensure calling the MlAs in question soon,” added Sahay.
On Friday one Rahul Singh along with another person was presented as a witness before the Tribunal. There are 78 witnesses out of which only five have so far being presented before the court.
