Jharkhand Vikash Morcha (P) supremo and ex-Chief Minister Babulal Marandi has promised upliftment and inclusive growth of the tribals if his party comes into power in the forthcoming Assembly election. He also announced that his party, JVM (P), would contest independently on all the 81 Assembly seats in Jharkhand.
Taking a dig at some of his party MlAs switching over to the BJP, Marandi said, "It is not a big deal and it happens before election in all parties." Marandi who rushed to Bokaro to participate in the party workers' meet, said: "I am not disappointed over the decision of our party legislators who switched over to BJP."
Marandi alleged that the BJP, Congress, AJSU and JMM are responsible for the slow pace of development. He said the state witnessed very slow progress which was hindered since inception.
Notably, Jharkhand was carved out in the year 2000 for the holistic development of the tribes but they are still left in the lurch in their own state. The state is looking back at a trail of broken promises, political instability and deep-rooted corruption as it completes more than a decade. The state has always made news for the wrong reasons, instability and corruption.
However, the years after the creation of Jharkhand have witnessed the fading of the delusional hype over tribal welfare. Rather, the vulnerability of tribals has increased after the formation of Jharkhand.Since from its inception, Jharkhand seems to be a fertile ground for scams.
