JVM general secretary and party’s leader in the House Pradeep Yadav has charged the Government for maintaining silence on corrupt practices despite making tall claims in public and the media. “Chief Minister Raghubar Das says something in the media and his public meeting to deal with corruption and for maintaining zero-tolerance against it but does entirely different in practice. The Government is silent despite having substance on cases such as Sikidri hydel project, TVNl and appointment of PCCF,” said the leader on Monday addressing the mediapersons.
Yadav alleged that adverse report on renovation of Sikidri hydel project had come and the Government in the Assembly had assured for action but after two months again probe was being done into the matter. He also charged the CM for maintaining engineer Ramavtar Sahu as MD of the TVNl and blamed him for having close relation with the official.
“Another matter is of Yadvendra Singh of Road Construction Department who fraudulently withdrew Rs1,000 crore from banks without conducting any work as engineer posted at Ramgrah. I presented all the documents in the House and then the Government had assured for action but he is still working as executive engineer of PWD at Deoghar,” said Yadav.
The JVM leader also hurled charges against PCCF BC Nigam of corruption and questioned his appointment and continuation on the post. “These are enough to prove that the CM just harps against corruption in public and nothing else. If the situation remained like this for 30 more days then the party would stage indefinite dharna in front of the CM’s office and expose the real face of the Government before the public,” said the JVM leader.
