Jharkhand Vikas Morcha General Secretary Rajiv Ranjan claiming major support from the voters of Ranchi lok Sabha constituency said that party’s candidate Amitabh Chaurdhary will register victory from record number of votes this time. Ranjan also said that those seeking votes on the issue of corruption themselves are involved in corruption cases. Relatives of the candidates having warrant on their names are leading the campaign for the candidate.
“Despite having his anticipatory bail pending in horse trading case during Mayoral elections in Ranchi, Sunil Sahay, younger brother of Congress candidate Subodh Kant Sahay is moving freely campaigning for him,” said Ranjan. He further claimed that people having petty crimes in their names are arrested during elections under Preventive Detention act, but Sahay having an arrest warrant against him is roaming scot free using the influence of his elder brother.
Even the DSP PN Singh, who is currently investigating the matter, was transferred and the High Court had to interfere to revoke his transfer orders. “Singh is still being pressurized leave the case,” Ranjan said. Attacking Sahay, Ranjan further said that even though he was denied ticket due to his involvement in the coal scam and had to lobby hard in New Delhi to ensure his ticket from Ranchi, why people will vote for him who has already lost the battle midway.
