Manahil Maroof of JUSCO School, South Park was declared winner of the GURUTSAV–2014 in the STD I–V category, which was organised by Jharkhand HRD. Manahil’s essay was sent in form of audio recording. The topic of the essay was ‘When the teacher helped me’
Principal Shovna De congratulated her on this great achievement. She exclaimed that Manahil had made the whole Jharkhand State proud by winning this essay competition.
She noted that teachers have played a pivotal role in shaping and moulding our lives and enabling us to develop as citizens of the 21st Century. This year, in order to combine the voice of the entire student community in thanking their teachers, the Ministry of HRD had organised an essay writing competition for gratefully acknowledging the role teachers play in our lives.
