Jugsalai residents demand urgent repairs for roads, water supply and streetlights

A delegation of the Shaheed Thakur Ji Pathak Welfare Society, along with residents of Safigang Mohalla, has raised concerns regarding essential civic issues in their locality. The delegation, under the leadership of national general secretary Chandra Pathak met officials of Jugsalai Municipal Council and urged immediate action to address the problems. The delegation also handed a memorandum.

The general secretary Pathak said that the road near Pathak Niwas is in a severely damaged state, making it difficult for nearly 70-80 residents to walk or ride bikes. The people of Safigang Mohalla have appealed for the removal of damaged road materials and the construction of a new, well-paved street to ensure safe commuting.

An old borewell near Panditji shop is unable to meet the community's water needs, especially with the approaching summer season. Residents have requested deeper boring and the installation of a new motor with a water tank to alleviate the water scarcity in the area.

“ Along with Sardar Shailendra Singh, president of the Jugsalai Nagrik Sangharsh Committee, we have been fighting for better water supply but the authorities have failed to pay heed to our demands,” said Pathak.

Many streetlights in Safigang Mohalla and Pathak Niwas Gali are damaged and non-functional, posing safety risks for residents. The community demands the installation of new streetlights and the repair of existing ones to enhance visibility and security.

The welfare society delegation has pledged to bring these issues to the attention of the relevant authorities and push for timely resolutions. They remain committed to improving the infrastructure and overall quality of life for the people of Jugsalai.
