The Jharkhand State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (JSCPCR) is planning to organize a daylong seminar on the occasion of World Day against Child labour focusing on the present status of child labour problems prevalent in the State.
Besides, organizing a seminar on June 12, the JSCPCR is also drafting a proposal to conduct a month-long programme in June covering all the 24 districts of the State in collaboration with the NGOs working for the protection of child rights in Jharkhand.
“In spite of organizing awareness drives and seminars at different level, the commission or the State government has not been able to develop a proper rehabilitation plan. This year, to mark the occasion, our focus will be on drafting a rehabilitation plan to curb this menace. We have partnered with several NGOs to make this an effective awareness drive. The final decision regarding the organization of problem will be taken on June 7,” said JSCPCR Chairperson Aarti Kujur.
