Following the instruction of All India Congress Committee (AICC), Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC), on Wednesday launched a Speak up for Free Universal Vaccination social media campaign across the State.

By uploading videos on social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and others demanded the Prime Minister to ensure free for all vaccination.

JPCC Chief, Dr Rameshwar Oraon, after uploading the video on social media, told the media that ever since the Country became independent, the Central Government has been making arrangements for vaccination to prevent epidemics.

“From small children to the elderly, women have been giving free vaccines but at present, the Central Government is making such a policy that the states have to purchase the vaccine from their own resources. All the Countries of the world are providing free vaccines to their citizens. It should be so in India also,” said Oraon.

The JPCC Chief said that states are being asked to buy vaccines from their own resources for people between the ages of 18 and 44, this is not a healthy tradition. “We should follow the old policies. The Central Government should provide the Corona vaccine to the State Governments on a war footing. On this basis, by the end of this year, we will be able to vaccinate our people,” he added.

On behalf of the party, the JPCC Vaccination Committee Chairman and Agriculture Minister Badal, along with many other party leaders, through social media and Facebook Live joined and demanded free vaccination from the Central Government.

Badal said that through social media, the party demands from the Prime Minister that a new policy of vaccination should be brought within the stipulated time frame and everyone should get a free vaccine.“When the whole world had ordered the vaccine in July 2020, we waited for 6 months. Keep patting yourself on your back. Because of this millions of people lost their lives,” he added.

“There is still time on which the world is walking, we along with the team should work with foresight to arrange the necessary doses for 108 crore people by the end of this year in a planned manner,” said Badal.

JPCC Spokespersons Alok Kumar Dubey, Lal Kishorenath Shahdeo and Rajesh Gupta said that on one hand all the orders of the Country's companies manufacturing vaccines have been booked by the world and we are requesting the world for vaccine two.
