On Thursday more than two dozen inmates of JP Central Jail, Hazaribagh, sat on a token one day long dharna inside the jail premises. The inmates are demanding their release because they have already completed the period of their punishment.
They have sent letters to the President, Prime Minister, central law minister, human right commission, CM Jharkhand, Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court, Governor Jharkhand to take their pray sympathetically and get them released as soon as possible. The inmates have also informed the jail authorities that if nothing will be done on their prayer then from March 23 they will start indefinite hunger strike.
