On the eve of Gandhi Jayanti, Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee ( JNAC) brand ambassador and Madhuri Dixit fan Pappu Sardar spread Gandhian values of ‘Peace, Harmony & Non-violence’ in. He donated special mementos on Gandhi to various administrative officers and police personnel. JNAC special officer Krishna Kumar and City SP Subhash Chandra Jat lauded the initiative taken by Pappu.
Pappu, who recently donated five beds to Ghatshila hospital to fight Covid-19 said: “We all give and help others in our everyday life, in our own small ways. But here is an opportunity for us to do it together, to encourage others to do so, and to celebrate the spirit of volunteerism, which is so deep-rooted in the Jamshedpur community. Our involvement in organising these celebrations also goes well with our unique mission with a sensitive social conscience, and our belief that education is all about making a difference,” he said.
On the occasion, the JNAC said that Mahatma Gandhi perpetuated ‘Ahimsa’ or non-violence and is an apostle of peace and humanity around the world. Kindness, truth and non-violence not just in actions but also in thoughts and words, the language we use for each other. Practising equality, tolerance, love and respect for everyone around the world. This way we can certainly all step in and do our part.
Like thousands of others, Pappu Sardar idolises Bollywood actor Madhuri Dixit. But he is a unique member of her fan club in that he has taken it upon himself to reach out to those in need while dedicating the service to her.
Amidst ongoing crisis of Covid-19, Pappu gave three wheelchairs, blood pressure measuring gauges, oxymeters, sugar level indicators, dead body covers, protective hand gloves, sanitizers and masks to the MGM College and Hospital to help them fight the pandemic.
