A day after being slapped with show cause notice and sacked from the Hemant Soren Cabinet, JMM leader Simon Marandi hit back hard on his opponents on Wednesday. The disgruntled leader blamed Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his political advisor Himanshu Shekhar Choudhary for messing up the affairs in the party and ruining it.
Addressing a press conference the axed Minister said, “The Chief Minister is acting inappropriately out of his excitement of youthfulness. He is taking his decisions in sheer mindlessness and abusing anyone and removing anyone. That is why all are leaving this party. I wonder what would be the fate of this party after the Assembly elections.”
The littipara MlA and an old timer in the Shibu Soren-led party has been dismissed from the Cabinet over his ‘anti-party activities’ during the recently concluded parliamentary elections. He was sulking over denial of ticket to his son by the party which, he claimed, had been hijacked by the young Chief Minister and his advisor.
“Party president Shibu Soren not more than a statue in the JMM. I am not sure his brain works or not. Whole affair is run by Hemant Soren and his advisor (Himanshu Shekhar Choudhary) on his behalf. Once the advisor had issued a legal notice to me, to a Cabinet Minister! What is his stature,” said the fuming leader who has time till May 16 to reply to the notice issued to him over his continuation in the JMM.
Simon at the same time also dropped sufficient hint about his future course of action in the State politics. He took sufficient time during his talk to discuss about Assembly polls which is due in November. Chances are that he may move towards JVM keeping in mind the party’s ‘good future’ in the State politics. “He has had some rounds of meetings with Babulal Marandi and chances that he may join party in the lines of Stephen Marandi and few other big names,” said a JVM leader.
