In a move to chalk out strategy before voting for the Presidential election Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Legislature Party meeting was held on Saturday at the Chief Minister, Hemant Soren residence in the State Capital. The party authorised JMM Supremo and former Chief Minister, Shibu Soren for final decision for the election.
The meeting was presided over by JMM Supremo, Shibu Soren. In the meeting, the upcoming presidential election was discussed with some other issues of the State and the party. It was decided in the meeting that Chief Minister Hemant Soren would go to Delhi before the Presidential elections. The CM will meet Home Minister, Amit Shah in Delhi to clear some grimace, which JMM will try to remove. Even after that, the party will announce whether the support of JMM will be given to the NDA or the UPA candidate in the presidential election. This information has been given by JMM MLA Nalin Soren.
After the meeting, in response to the question on the decision taken in the meeting of the JMM Legislature Party, the party General Secretary and Spokesperson, Supriyo Bhattacharya told the media that today all the political events were discussed. “The Presidential election was also discussed in the meeting. It has been agreed that which candidate the party will support will be decided on the condition of coming elections,” he added.
First time in the history of the Country, a tribal woman has been nominated as the President of India candidate. In such a situation JMM’s stand is very important. The party sources said that some more meetings will be held before the elections. The party Supremo will decide in the interest of the State and the people of the State, he added.
In the meeting all the Members of Parliament and MLAs were held under the chairmanship of the JMM Spremo and former Chief Minister, Shibu Soren. On the occasion of the birth anniversary of former JMM Vice president, Sudhir Mahato, the meeting was started by garlanding his photograph.
The meeting was attended by JMM Executive President cum Chief Minister, Hemant Soren, Minister in the State Government and JMM Vice president, Champai Soren, Minister, Joba Manjhi, Minister, Jagarnath Mahato and Minister, Mithilesh Kumar Thakur, Rajya Sabha MP, Mahua Majhi, besides MLA, Stephen Marandi, Nalin Soren, Mathura Mahto, Savita Mahto, Sita Soren, Lobin Hembram, Deepak Biruwa, Ramdas Soren, Niral Purti, Basant Soren, Dashrath Gagrai, Bhushan Tirkey, Dinesh William Marandi, Sukhram Oraon, Vaidyanath Ram, Vikas Singh Munda, Jiga Susharan Horo, Sanjeev Sardar, Mangal Kalindi and Sudivya Kumar participated.
