Jharkhand Mukti Morcha Executive President cum Chief Minister Hemant Soren today sounded the poll bugle in West Bengal by holding a mammoth rally at Jamda in Jhargram. Soren, on the occasion, called upon people to come forward in support of the oppressed classes of the State and choose a government that would work to secure interest of the poor and the subjugated classes of society.
There is such a government in India today; there is a gathering of such useless people, who have given nothing to this country. But, the country is being run by selling the property of ancestors. Sometimes trains, sometimes airports and sometimes airplanes are being sold. The day is not far when blood in this country will be cheap and water will be expensive. At present, there is a concern that tribal, dalit and minorities are being grinded in the mill,” he said.
“We will have to fight for our rights in times to come. The way, in which new laws are being made against people, the lives of the poor will become difficult in the coming days. Now on Republic Day, we saw what happened to the farmers even after India became independent. We say. India is a farmer oriented country. Our ancestors gave the slogan of ‘Jai Jawan Jai Kisan’ but it seems that now there is no place for farmers in this country,” said the JMM Executive President.
Soren further said that the elections are being held today with money and power. “These people change the Land Acquisition Act due to money, the law changes for the farmers; they are engaged in selling the property of the country with the help of money. The poor tribal-Dalit society has not been able to take its right due to wealth and wealth. But, it is pleasant that from time to time such people definitely come from among us, who give a befitting reply to such feudalistic thoughts. People used to laugh when Guruji spoke about the movement to have a dream of a separate State. But, one who aims for a purpose, does achieve the goal,” he said.
Soren said that the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha will again come to the region. “The soldiers of the movement who were in their 70s will be awakened, so that the poor tribal dalits living in this area will not be deprived of their right. This is the first program of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. We do not worry about the crowd. We are among the people filling the pitcher drop by drop and believe in preparing a caravan that will never waver in the way. We will awaken the new light of the movement in the region. Our ancestors have supported you in your rights, rights and battles. In the coming time also, the entire organization will be active in the region of Bengal, so that we can fulfill our old dream,” he said.
At the rally, minister Champai Soren, MLAs Sameer Mohanty, Ramdas Soren, Supriyo Bhattacharya, JMM Bengal in-charge Bittu Murmu, Hidayat Khan and others also addressed the gathering.
