JMM refutes charges against Hemant Soren

Reacting strongly against the targeted attacks made by the ruling BJP against the family members of JMM chief Shibu Soren, party spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya warned Chief Minister Raghubar Das to stop creating confusion among people by faking the evidences.

He also threatened him with documents which could take away the Assembly memberships from most of BJP’s senior Ministers in the State Government. Talking to the mediapersons at the party office in Ranchi, Bhattacharya added that no any property related fact was hidden in the affidavit submitted to the Election Commission of India (ECI) by JMM executive president Hemant Soren during the last polls.

Releasing documents of alleged land purchases by the Soren family on Saturday, State BJP vice presidents Aditya Sahu and Samir Oraon had accused Hemant Soren of producing false undertaking before the ECI during Assembly election in 2014, and said the party would go to the Commission “through proper channel” about the matter and request the Commission to announce his election as a legislator null and void.

“The BJP must refrain from creating confusion among the people of this State as not a single fact has been hidden in the affidavit produced before ECI by the former Chief Minister. registration of the land pieces mentioned by him were done as per the stamp value decided by the Revenue Department on the basis of the value of the land to be purchased and the Income Tax Department has been informed every year in this regard,” said the spokesperson.

Referring to the allegation of undervaluing the plots purchased by Hemnt Soren in the name of his wife, Bhattacharya said that it is a universal fact that the value of properties purchased back in the year 2004-05 will definitely get increased several times in 2017.

“It is nothing but an effort to create confusion among people after getting a befitting reply by the people over CNT SPT  Acts and have been targeting the most popular face among tribals in the State,” said Bhattacharya. He reiterated that they have documents of disproportionate properties against over half a dozen BJP leaders which would be made public if they did not refrain from such a practice of hitting below the belt.

“Several senior ministers in the State Government might lose their membership, if those documents are released by the JMM. But the party does not believe in hitting below the belt and only warning the BJP to refrain from such practice,” he said.

Bhattacharya said that the BJP itself will get scorched with the inferno initiated by it.
