JMM Central Committee member and husband of Chinia Panchayat Mukhiya, Ayub Mansuri, was shot dead by unknown criminals on Thursday evening. According to the Police, Ayub was out of his work in the evening towards the mosque like normal days. As soon as he reached near the house of Safiq Ansari of the village at around 7 O'clock, unknown people fired two consecutive shots at him. In this, one bullet hit his neck, while the other bullet hit him below the waist. He fell down on the spot.
Immediately local people took him to Sadar Hospital Garhwa and admitted him for treatment, where the doctors declared him dead.
Garhwa SP Anjani Kumar Jha said that no one has been arrested in the connection.Interrogation of two people is going on on the basis of suspicion.
Ranchi's forensic team had come, and the help of sniffer dogs has also been taken by the police, SP added.
Mansoorie, who earlier attended the administration's organised Sarkar Aapke Dwar program in China on Thursday. Ayub was cooperating in the work of the villagers by fixing their problems throughout the day. The incident happened shortly after returning home in the evening.
State Drinking Water and Sanitation Minister Mithilesh Thakur strongly condemned it and demanded the immediate arrest of the accused.
