A group of irate JMM members of Giridih and Dumari demonstrated before the civil sub-divisional office Dumari and block office here on Tuesday morning and urge the district officials and Jharkhand Government to release their MlA, Jagarnath Mahto from Tenughat jail.
According to president of Zila parishad, Giridh Rakesh Mahto, the Government as well as the district administration has been a mute spectator in this connection, and under conspiracy, our JMM leader Jagarnath Mahto has been sent to jail, the reason we are decided to agitate. JMM leaders of various localities of Dumari and Giridih led by zila parishad president Rakesh Mahto, Jharkhand Bewashae Manch, State president Sudiv Kumar Sonu, Central committee member Kari Barkat Ali ,Block president of JMM, Niranjan Mahto and around 5000workers of JMM came to State a dharna against the government’s conspiracy and without any reason their leader has been lodged in the jail.
According to reports, assisted by the politician, businessmen and the local villagers Of Dumari and Giridih town altogether 5000 activities of JMM took out the an impressive procession under the banner of JMM block committee ,on Tuesday to protest the lodging of a Dumari MlA ,Jagarnath Mahto lodged in the jail recently.
The procession which started from the SDO office ,winded its way through different thorough fares of the township ,crossing the market before reaching the Dumari block office ,about 5 km from here.
