The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Thursday attacked senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Chief Minister, Babulal Marandi saying that he took a contract for misleading people of the State on the burning issues.
Hitting hard on Marandi for raising question on the State Government's decision on August, 18 to reserve seven iron ore blocks for the Government's company - Jharkhand State Mineral Development Corporation Limited By issuing a press release JMM General Secretary, Supriyo Bhattacharya said that BJP leader Babulal Marandi should clarify before the people of the State that why he was speaking against the lease holders of these mines and why he was saying that it is Raghubar Government's work to provide illegal benefit to lease holders.
Bhattachrya also said through the release that Marandi should inform people that when former Government had handed over the State Government's company PTPS to National Thermal Power Corporation at that time what was his reaction and what Marandi had said when the electricity plant build in Godda by Adani Power on the condition of that the electricity produced by the plant will be sold to Bangladesh and the State will not get a single megawatt from the plant.
"Marandi should explain what unprecedented happened which forced him to think that the State Government's companies are not efficient and it doubts on self-dependency of the Government. What happened was that Marandi was vociferously speaking against the Iron Ore miners, now he is indirectly speaking in favour of them.
Is it not the duty of the State Government to provide resources to its companies? The local and tribal people of the State will directly get employment from this. Marandi should tell his party that strengthening the Government's Company will strengthen the economy of the Country and it will also awake the self-respect of the Country," said Bhattacharya.
The party General Secretary also said that it is his request to Marandi that he does not characterize the famous proverb that eating hundreds of mice, the cat goes on a pilgrimage otherwise people will mock him.
