JMM demands rollback of land Acquisition Bill

Former Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that he will not let the Raghubar Das-led NDA Government to sit in peace until it assures people of Jharkhand that the proposed land Acquisition  Bill will not be implements in the State.  Soren was addressing hundreds of workers of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) coming from different parts of the State at Jharkhand Assembly where a day-long dharna was staged against the Ordinance on land Acquisition Act.
“There are several things which need to be understood. They are trying to play with our future through the land Acquisition Bill against which we will lodge our protest from ‘Sadak to Sadan,” said Soren.
Tribal leaders of the BJP will also have to answer on what ground they are trying to violate the CNT and SPT Act provided by the Constitution of India to safeguard the land rights of the tribal people in the state, Soren added. The former Chief Minister also alleged that the BJP Government, both at the Center and at the State, is playing in the lap of the business houses like Adani and Ambani, who will get away after plundering the natural wealth of this State.
Soren further said that the poor people of this state only have their land as their savings or bank balance out of which somehow they earn their bread and butter.
“If the current government takes away those land from the poor farmers, they will be left with nothing and will die of hunger,” added Soren.
Soren also warned the State Government that it was just the beginning and the government will not be allowed to sit in peace
until the ordinance is taken back by it. “The history of blood bath by our forefathers to get their lands back from the outsiders could be repeated again in Jharkhand,”  said Soren. Mandu MlA Jaiprakash Bhai Patel in his address said, “JMM will launch an ‘ulgulaan’ (movement) against the present government as it intends to plunder the state through this ordinance.”
Gomia MlA Yogendra Mahto on the other hand, said that the path is being created for the big business houses like Adani and Adaani.
“We will not let them touch even the ‘Anchal’ (corner of saree) of this land which is our motherland,” said Mahto.
