The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has come down heavily upon the government in the State for failing to ensure rule of law in the State. The principal opposition party today sought a judicial investigation in the attack on its MlA from Gomia constituency and reshuffling of police officials in Rajrappa on Monday night.
Party’s Spokesperson cum General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya today said that the party demanded a change in the setup of Rajrappa Police Station and an independent enquiry under a judge of High Court in the case.
“The whole administration knows that he leaves for his home besides Rajrappa Thermal daily in between 10 to 12 PM and returns in the morning. Yesterday, there was an idol immersion procession in which people were drunk, as he was going on the way and his vehicle stopped, some people came and tried to snatch arms from his bodyguards. Because of being native and local he succeeded in convincing them to leave from there,” he said
“After sometime a group of 8-10 people came pelting stones on the vehicle. In the whole procession, in the name of security there were only three home guard personnel, who were not even carrying a stick. The passing of procession in such a sensitive area without any security cover at 11 PM is a part of big conspiracy,” he added.
