As poll nears, coalition partners in the Government have expedited their brainstorm over continuation of the alliance. In this regard, Chief Minister Hemant Soren along with Pradesh Congress Committee chief Sukhdeo Bhagat and Congress legislative Party leader Rajendra Singh left for Delhi on Tuesday evening.

The Chief Minister along with the leaders would meet top brass of the Congress to discuss the seat sharing formula emerging among the partners running the Government in the State. “They are likely to meet chairman of the Congress coalition committee AK Antony and in-charge of Jharkhand BK Hariprasad on Wednesday,” said a senior party leader.

Though, it is learnt that the meeting would be preliminary in nature and final call would be taken in a week time or so. The parties are more or less on the same page as far as contesting on sitting seats and those where they faired second in the previous elections.

“We have identified 34 such seats while about 40 would of the JMM. The rest would go in the RJD, JD-U and Independents’ way. It is clear that the Congress and the JMM would be more or less on similar footing,” said the leader.

The Chief Minister is leaving for Delhi in a special flight and may even pay a courtesy visit to Congress president Sonia Gandhi before coming back on Wednesday evening.
