JMM attacks BJP for trying to ‘destabilise’ Govt

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Saturday attacked Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and said that BJP is trying to destabilise the State Government. The party’s remark came after the incident of arresting of three persons from a hotel of the State Capital with cash.

Addressing a press meet at its party headquarters in the State Capital, JMM's Spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya, said that the BJP's intention to topple the State Government in Jharkhand has failed. He said that the Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh model of BJP did not work in Jharkhand. “First in Rajasthan and now in Jharkhand, BJP has to face defeat. Neither the people of Jharkhand are for sale nor the MLAs of JMM, Congress and RJD. This Government is a stable government for five years,” he added.

“A huge conspiracy was hatched to destabilize the stable Government of the State. People started feeling that in this way a conspiracy could be hatched to spread confusion among the MLAs. In the past also BJP State president had said that Jharkhand's Hemant Government would fall after the bye-elections of Dumka and Bermo, then Godda MP Nishikant Dubey had said after the bye-election of Madhupur that the BJP Government would be formed and Babulal Marandi will become the Chief Minister. Why do these things come in BJP's mind?” said Bhattacharya.

The party Spokesperson asked why BJP is trying to overthrow an elected Government. “The people who are in power right now have all come from struggle and it is not easy to buy the people born out of struggle. The stand that the Central Government is taking right now is quite terrible. Questions on policy and talks against the Central Government are not being tolerated. The things that have been told by the Ranchi Police so far, some people ran away and some people could not run away, it is a matter of doubt,” he added.

Bhattacharya said that this is not an ordinary incident. “We are seeing and understanding also. If there is any kind of undemocratic conspiracy, then this State will not sit silent. The work is being done under the democratic system,” he added.

The party Spokesperson also said that any kind of undemocratic work will not be tolerated here. He said that the BJP is constantly conspiring to destabilise the Government. In response to a question, he said that the Congress party should move forward by taking its MLAs in its confidence.

In response to another question, Bhattacharya said that some of our MLAs and BJP’s MLAs have also said that there is a conspiracy against the Government. He said that the MLAs of JMM are united.
