JJMP activists unleash terror in villages

Activists of Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad (JJMP) are unleashing a reign of terror in Palamau’s two villages — Dokra and Chando. Sources said about three dozens of JJMP activists are in roaming around these two villages.

last week a upper caste villager at Dokra was beaten up for not agreeing to resolve a land dispute. Again at Chando village a another person was assaulted for not giving free petrol. Naxals want free petrol and free bike for their transportation. Most often it is the naxal who rides a bike and the owner becomes the pillion rider. Bike is also used for taking down medicines and food provisions.

In villages of Palamu petrol is sold most illegally. It is sold in thrown away water bottle of one liter and two liters and price is `10 higher than the actual price. The JJMP and the TPC (Teertaye Prastuti Committee) both are splinter groups of the CPI Maoists but for levy and area dominance the JJMP and the TPC both are at war.

Sources said when the two JJMP and TPC confront each other the first thing that these two do is to save life and arms. TPC is much stronger than JJMP. Police sources said once the CPI Maoist comes in the JJMP and the TPC avoid any direct eye contact here. SP Palamau NK Singh said the police have tightened its grip on all naxal organisations and the worst trailing behind is the JJPC that is almost limping now with its cadres and machines either sent to jail or recovered and seized by the police.
